Drury Named MASCAC Player Of The Week
Freshman Steven Drury, Jr. (Ashburnham, Mass.) was tabbed the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

FITCHBURG, Mass. (March 21, 2014) – Freshman Steven Drury, Jr. (Ashburnham, Mass.) was tabbed the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The freshman outfielder batted .571 (8-for-14) with a double, two triples, home run, five RBI and six runs scored in a 3-0 week for the Falcons. Drury went 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and three RBI in Fitchburg State's 12-0 win over Rivier on Tuesday before adding a 3-for-5 effort at the plate with a double, triple, two runs scored and an RBI in the Falcons 6-5 victory against Anna Maria on Wednesday afternoon. Steven capped the week with a pair hits, including a home run, RBI and two runs scored in the Green and Gold's 10-4 win over Wentworth on Friday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State baseball team returns to action on Saturday as it hosts the Vikings of Salem State University for a double header starting at 12 p.m.
