Mercier Named MASCAC Pitcher Of The Week
Senior Patrick Mercier (Townsend, Mass./North Middlesex) was recently named the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week as selected by the league office earlier this week.

Senior Patrick Mercier (Townsend, Mass./North
Middlesex) was recently named the MASCAC Pitcher of the
Week as selected by the league office earlier this week.
Mercier earns his first weekly honor of the season after posting a 2-0 mark in a 5-4 week for the Falcons. The senior right-hander collected 22 strikeouts in 17.2 innings pitched while also setting the school record for single game strikeouts with 16 K’s in an 11 inning, complete game victory over Medaille. He also notched his first win of the season, 10-4 over SUNY IT, while tossing 6.1 innings with 5 K’s.
The Fitchburg State baseball team (5-4, 0-0 MASCAC) is set to be back in action on Thursday afternoon as it hosts Curry College at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.
