Bio
Matt Chagnon enters his first season with Fitchburg State Athletics, being named as Equipment & Operations Manager this past July.
Chagnon will oversee all Varsity Athletic Equipment for Fitchburg's 19 Varsity programs, as well as work closely with Fitchburg State's Student Athletics Event Staff, providing on the job training, venue & equipment oversight for student workers and the department.
Prior to Fitchburg State, Matt served as Manager of Athletic Operations at the Pingree School in South Hamilton, MA, where he oversaw facilities, equipment, scheduling, & event management, amongst other roles for their 45 teams. His valuable gameday experience, strong leadership skills, and widespread knowledge of the field will support Fitchburg State's long-term commitment to enhancing the Student-Athlete experience.
Chagnon graduated from Endicott College with a Bachelors in Sport Management & a Master's Degree in Sport Leadership.
