Falcons Pick Up First Win, Defeating Bowdoin 3-2
Fitchburg State University picked up their first victory of the season, defeating Bowdoin College 3-2 on Monday at Pat Thomas Field.
Beaulieu goes 2-3 with one RBI in Falcons victory
LEESBURG, FL - Fitchburg State University (1-2) picked up their first victory of the season, defeating Bowdoin College (0-1) 3-2 on Monday at Pat Thomas Field.
Kyle Cutler earned the win on the mound, tossing eight strong innings with seven strikeouts, one walk, and one earned run, while Javier Lozada got the save with one strikeout.
Clayton Beaulieu led the Falcons offensively going 2-3, including plating in the winning run on a sacrifice grounder to first base in the 8th inning that scored Steven Drury Jr. from third.
The Falcons will be back on the diamond tomorrow when they take on SUNY-Canton at 3:30 pm.
