Baseball Teams Up With Dr. Seuss Community Reader Day
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior infielder Sam Brown and freshman pitcher Kyle Nocera of the Fitchburg State University baseball team participated in the Dr. Seuss Community Reader Day at the Johnny Appleseed Elementary School in Leominster on Thursday morning.
Brown and Nocera read and answer questions to fifth grade class
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior infielder Sam Brown and freshman pitcher Kyle Nocera of the Fitchburg State University baseball team participated in the Dr. Seuss Community Reader Day at the Johnny Appleseed Elementary School in Leominster on Thursday morning.
The two members of the Fitchburg State baseball team read a biography about Roberto Clemente to Mrs. Barnaby's fifth grade class. Brown and Nocera then spent some time with the class answering questions about being a student-athlete as well as why they chose Fitchburg State.
The Fitchburg State baseball team opens up its 2017 campaign on Saturday, March 11th as it takes on Fredonia State in Florida at the RussMatt Spring Break games at 3:30 p.m. before opening up its home slate on Monday, March 20th as it host the Blazers of Elms College at 3:30 p.m.
