The Coach to Cure MD program is a project of the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) in partnership with the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). The AFCA and 10,000 coaches from Division I, II, and III are participating in the nationwide event as they join the fight against DMD. Each coach will be wearing a patch with the Coach to Cure MD insignia displayed in hopes raising awareness for the progressive muscle disorder.
Fans can support their favorite coaches in the fight against DMD by contributing via text message or online at www.CoachtoCureMD.org. On Saturday, text the word CURE to 90999 and donate $5 towards fight against DMD. DMD is the most common fatal disorder diagnosed during childhood and through outlook programs like the PPMD, treatment, quality of life and long-term relief for all individuals can be improved.
