FSU Voted as MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week
The Fitchburg State Falcons have claimed the week 2 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Fan Play of the Week award.
WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Fitchburg State Falcons have claimed the week 2 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Fan Play of the Week award.
The Falcons used a late surge to win by the smallest margin since the poll was started last season. Fitchburg State collected 209 votes (42.8%), which is only one vote more than Massachusetts Maritime with 208 (42.6%). Bridgewater State and Framingham State were also nominees in this week's poll.
In this week's winning play, Fitchburg State quarterback Garrett Dellechiaie floats one down-field to Jesse Lastra who grabs it away from a defender for the 32 yard score in the 31-3 win over Curry. You can see video of the play below.
