Valerio Selected MASCAC Football Rookie Of The Week
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore quarterback Nelson Valerio (Lawrence, Mass./Lawrence) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) rookie of the week as announced by the conference office on Sunday afternoon.
Lawrence, Mass. native earns first weekly honor of the season
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore quarterback Nelson Valerio (Lawrence, Mass./Lawrence) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) rookie of the week as announced by the conference office on Sunday afternoon.
The first-year Falcon completed 17-of-23 passes for 266 yards and one touchdown, while also adding a one yard TD run in Fitchburg State's 33-30 season opening setback to Curry College at Walter M. Katz Field on Friday evening.
The Fitchburg State football team (0-1, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Saturday evening as it travels to Castleton University to take on the Spartans for a contest starting at 6 PM.
