DeHorsey Named Longstreth/NFHCA DIII Field Hockey Defensive Player Of The Week
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior forward Aislinn DeHorsey (Leominster, Mass./Leominster) was recently selected Longstreth/NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NFHCA on Wednesday afternoon.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior forward Aislinn DeHorsey (Leominster, Mass./Leominster) was recently selected Longstreth/NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NFHCA on Wednesday afternoon.
The second-year forward netted seven points on two goals and three assists as well as making four saves defensive saves in a 2-1 week for the Falcons. DeHorsey posted two assists and one defensive save in a 4-3 overtime setback to WPI on Tuesday before adding one score and a pair of defensive stops in a 3-2 comeback win over Framingham State on Thursday.
Aislinn concluded the week, registering three points on one marker and one helper in addition to one defensive save in a 3-0 shutout victory against Westfield State on Friday. In addition, DeHorsey was also awarded this week's Little East Conference (LEC) Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.
The Fitchburg State field hockey team recently concluded its 2018 season with an overall record of 10-10 and a 7-5 mark in conference play.
