Drayton Earns MASCAC Rookie of the Week

FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State freshman Matthew Drayton (Boston, MA) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's basketball Rookie of the Week.

Drayton continues to be a handful for opponents. The freshman guard racked up 18 points against MIT this past weekend in a 78-75 win over the Engineers. Drayton shot an impressive 53.8% from the floor and 50% from behind the three-point line. He also contributed on the boards, pulling down seven rebounds. 

The men's basketball team (2-5) will play again on Tuesday at 6:00 PM against Castleton in Parkinson Gymnasium.
