Wysocki Tabbed MASCAC Goaltender Of The Week
Junior Ryan Wysocki (Grand Rapids, Mich.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goaltender of the Week as announced by the league office Sunday evening.
Grand Rapids, Mich. native collects second accolade of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. (December 9, 2013) – Junior Ryan Wysocki (Grand Rapids, Mich.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goaltender of the Week as announced by the league office Sunday evening.
The junior goaltender collects his second weekly honor of the season after totaling 77 saves with a 2.03 goals against average and a .951 save percentage in a 1-1 week for the Fitchburg State ice hockey team. Wysocki turned aside 40 shots in the Falcons 5-3 setback to Salem State on Thursday evening before making 37 saves en-route to his first collegiate shutout in Fitchburg State’s 3-0 victory over UMass Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.
On the season, Wysocki has collected 184 saves with a 2.93 goals against average and a .920 save percentage in six starts for the Green and Gold.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (5-7-0, 3-3-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday January 7th as it hosts the Greyhounds of Assumption College for a contest starting at 7 p.m.
