FITCHBURG, Mass. (November 12, 2013) – Freshman Jake Martin (Montreal, Quebec) was tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Co-Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office Sunday evening.
The freshman forward collects his second straight weekly honor of the season after collecting a game-best three points on one score and two assist, including the game-winning power-play marker to lift the Fitchburg State ice hockey team over Franklin Pierce University, 4-2 on Thursday evening.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (2-2-0, 0-0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it travels to Plymouth State University for a contest starting at 6 p.m.
