FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior Brian Amaral was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
The third-year Falcons picks up his second consecutive and third overall weekly accolade on the year after placing fourth overall in the 5000 meter with a time of 15:13.32 for the Green and Gold at the 2017 Tuft Final Qualifying Meet on Saturday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team returns to action this weekend as select members compete in the 2016-17 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill., starting on Friday at 10 AM.
