Fitchburg State Sweeps MASCAC Weekly Accolades
Fitchburg State University took both weekly honors for the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) in men’s cross country, as Senior Eric Ouellette was named runner of the week and rookie of the week honors went to sophomore Joseph Darrigo.
WESTFIELD, Mass. - Fitchburg State University took both weekly honors for the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) in men's cross country, as Senior Eric Ouellette was named runner of the week and rookie of the week honors went to sophomore Joseph Darrigo.
Ouellette took top honors at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational with an 8k time of 26:41 and pacing the Falcons to the overall team title.
J. Darrigo contributed with a fourth place finish as he crossed the finish line at 28:06 in his first collegiate meet.
The Green & Gold return to action on Sunday, Sept. 13 as they travel to New England College at 11:00 am.
