Fitchburg State (12-21 overall, 7-7 MASCAC) took a 6-0 lead into the fourth before Massachusetts Maritime Academy (1-26 overall, 0-12 MASCAC) posted their first run. The Falcons then added another five runs in the top of the fifth on the way to an 11-1 victory in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader. FSC claimed the second game 11-0.
Brandeis University Swept a doubleheader from the Fitchburg State College softball team Thursday afternoon at Withington Field at Coolidge Park 9-0, 4-0.
Bridgewater State College came to Fitchburg State College and swept the Falcons, 6-0, 9-2, on Patriots Day in MASCAC softball action at Fitchburg State.
