Falcons To Host 2016 Winter Softball Clinic

FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University softball team will be hosting its 2016 winter softball clinic open to students in grades three through twelve on Sunday, January 31st from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 1.m. at the Fitchburg State Recreation Center.

The Fitchburg State Falcon Softball Winter clinic is organized and conducted by the current Falcon softball players and coaches. The Falcons bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the clinic. Come join in the fun while receiving top-notch instruction by some of the best student-athletes and coaches.

Some of the skills that will be focused on throughout the clinic include the following:

Offensive:

-Hitting Mechanics

-Bunting/slapping mechanics

-Base-running techniques

Defensive:

-Infield/Outfield Skills

-Throwing mechanics

-Bunt defense

-Position specific instruction

-Game situations
