FITCHBURG, Mass. - Fitchburg State University Director of Athletics Matthew Burke has announced that Laura Pierce has been named head coach of the Women’s Basketball program. Pierce will be the first full-time coach in program history. Along with coaching duties she will handle recreational programming within the University. Pierce comes to the Falcons after serving as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Wheaton College.
Worcester, Mass. – Junior guard Angelina Marazzi (Manchester, N.H.) and classmate Catherine Coppinger (Boston, Mass.) was selected to the 2018-19 Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Women’s Basketball All-Star Teams as voted upon by sports information directors or primary contacts from each of the nine NCAA schools in Worcester County as well as members of the local media.
