Falcons Win 2014 Fall Ball Tournament
The 2014 Fitchburg State University women's lacrosse team held their 8th annual fall ball tournament on Sunday, Oct. 19 at Elliot Field.
FITCHBURG, Mass. - The 2014 Fitchburg State University women's lacrosse team held their 8th annual fall ball tournament on Sunday, Oct. 19 at Elliot Field.
The six team tournament was a five game, 20 minute running time format where the first and second place teams played in a championship at the end of the day. Fitchburg State concluded the day with a 6-0 record and a victory in the championship contest.
"The tournament was a great day for lacrosse for all teams. We got to see where we are as a unit for the upcoming season," said head women's lacrosse coach Rick Terrioer. "I was thrilled to see such nice play from our new players and veterans from last season. The addition of Assistant Coach Jen Carew and Strength/Conditioning Coach Matt Richards were instrumental to getting us to where we are today!"
The other teams that participated in the tournament were: Framingham State, Mount Ida, Regis, UMass-Lowell Club, and Salem State.
