Chiacchia & St. George Collect MASCAC Weekly Honors
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Nevaeh Chiacchia (Monson, MA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, while senior Jessica St. George (Dracut, MA) was named MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Chiacchia tabbed Rookie of the Week; St. George named Player of the Week
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Nevaeh Chiacchia (Monson, MA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, while senior Jessica St. George (Dracut, MA) was named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Nevaeh collected her first weekly accolade of the season after posting three goals and three draw controls in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. Chiacchia scored her first two collegiate markers and one draw control in a 12-8 victory over Wentworth on the 18th before adding one goal and two draw controls in a 9-8 triumph against Saint Joseph (CT) on the 21st.
St. George also netted her first weekly honor of the 2025-26 campaign after totaling six points on five goals and one assist as well as six groundballs, 11 draw controls and three caused turnovers. Jess collected five points on four goals and one assist in addition to three groundballs, eight draw controls and one caused turnover in a 12-8 triumph against Wentworth (2/18) before adding one score, three groundballs, three draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 9-8 victory against Saint Joseph (CT) (2/21).
The Fitchburg State Women's Lacrosse team (2-0, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as they host the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer for a non-conference tilt, starting at 4:00PM.
