Fitchburg State Competes At Open New England Championships
BOSTON, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women’s indoor track team was in action this afternoon, competing in the 2017 Open New England Championships, hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center.
Zbikowski notches Open New England Honors with eighth place effort in the pole vault
BOSTON, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's indoor track team was in action this afternoon, competing in the 2017 Open New England Championships, hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center.
Senior Sadie Zbikowski led the way for the Green and Gold, placing eighth overall in the pole vault with a mark of 3.40 meters to claim Open New England Honors, while classmate Morgan Steele was also solid, finishing 17th in the weight throw with a toss of 14.69 meters to close out the top performances for the Falcons on the day.
The Fitchburg State women's indoor track team returns to action next weekend as select members compete in the 2017 ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Ithaca College, starting on Friday at 2 p.m.
