Murphy Earns Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
The fourth-year Falcon guided the distance medley relay team to a 14th place time of 12:59.72 to set a new school record in the process, surpassing the previous mark of 13:05.07 in 2012, while adding a 21st place effort overall in the 1000 meter with a personal best time of 3:11.65 for the Green and Gold at the 2023 DIII New England Championships over the weekend.
The Fitchburg State Women's Indoor Track and Field team returns to action this weekend as select members await a possible bid into the 2023 NCAA DIII National Championships.
