Desrochers Named MASCAC Men’s Field Co-Athlete of the Week
Senior Zach Desrochers (Dracut, Mass./Greater Lowell) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Field Co-Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.
Dracut, Mass. native collects third accolade of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. (April 16, 2013) – Senior Zach Desrochers (Dracut, Mass./Greater Lowell) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Field Co-Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.
Desrochers collects his third weekly honor of the season after the men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams competed at the 2013 UNH Wildcat Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The third year thrower paced the men’s team, earning top honors in the discus with a post-season toss of 46.93 meters.
The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams return to action on Saturday as they host the 2013 Eric Loeschner Memorial Meet starting at 10:30 a.m.
