Camara Tabbed MASCAC WOTK Field Athlete Of The Week
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Makany Camara (Lowell, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Outdoor Track Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Lowell, MA. native collects first weekly honor of the season
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Makany Camara (Lowell, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Camara notched first weekly accolade of the 2026 campaign after taking top honors in the high jump with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 1.57 meters before finishing first overall in the 100 meter hurdles with a DIII NE qualifying time of 15.44 seconds as well as placing fifth in the long jump with a mark of 4.90 meters for the Falcons at the 2026 Jonathan Tymann Invitational, hosted by Gordon College on Friday.
The Fitchburg State Women's Outdoor Track & Field team returns to action on Saturday as they host the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational, starting at 10:00AM.
