Springfield, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University Women’s Outdoor Track & Field team placed 29th overall at the 2026 DIII New England Championships with a total of nine points this past weekend, hosted by Springfield College at the Blake Track.

How It Happened
Senior Skye Goba (Norton, MA) led the way for the Falcons, fifth overall in the 5000 meter with an All-New England qualifying time of 17:41.86, while senior Makany Camara (Lowell, MA) finished fifth overall in the 100 meter hurdles with an All-New England qualifying time of 14.56 seconds as well as placing tenth overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.57 meters.
The 4x100 meter relay team of senior Alanis Velez (Lowell, MA), sophomore Arieyana Robinson (Worcester, MA), junior Trishannah Scott (Fitchburg, MA) and freshman Nevaeh Hurley (Fitchburg, MA) turned in a 22nd place time of 53.06 seconds, while Scott placed seventh overall in the triple jump with a mark of 11.06 meters.
