GORHAM, Maine (November 16, 2013) – The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country team was in action this afternoon as the Falcons competed in the 2013 NCAA DIII New England Region Cross Country Championships hosted by the University of Southern Maine.

WESTFIELD, Mass. (October 12, 2013) – The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country teams visited Westfield State University this afternoon as they competed in the 18th annual Jim Earley Invitational.
The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Keene State Cross Country Invitational this afternoon as the Falcons placed fourth and eighth respectively.
The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the 41th annual Worcester City Meet hosted by Worcester State University at Moore State Park this afternoon.
The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to UMass Dartmouth this afternoon, competing in the 2013 Shriners Invitational. The men placed 14th overall with 368 points, while the women finished 22nd overall with 594 points.
The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Franklin Pierce University this afternoon, competing in 2013 Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup. The women placed ninth overall with 250 points, while the men finished eighth overall with 177 points.

When a team sets and achieves a goal of continually improvement, it will eventually creep toward the top of the conference standings. After setting and achieving a difficult team milestone last season, the Fitchburg State University women's cross country team is aiming to do the same in 2013 and take one step closer to the top of its conference.
The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country teams were recently ranked among the top four teams in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASACAC) Pre-Season Coaches Poll as voted by the league coaches.
